Official Release: Payment Of 2020 Election Officials- EC Explains Cause Of Delay And Time For Payment

The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana is ensuring all the officials of the just ended 2020 General Elections that, the commission has started processes towards the payment of the all allowance.

The aggrieved officials have been agitating over delay in payment of their allowance since the exercise for nearly four months now.

According to the commission, the cause of the delay is as a result of some anomalies which needs to be corrected.

” Some anomalies including incorrect bank details and names have been noticed and needed to be corrected. The commission is falling on Regional Directors, District Officials to help correct the mistakes” the release stated.

“Payment of the officials will be made as soon as the anomalies are rectified” the release added.
