Government after several negotiations with Organised Labour has increased base pay of public sector workers for the 2023 financial year by 30%.
The increment takes effect from January 1, 2023.
This follows a meeting with Organised Labour on Thursday, January 12 after ten unsuccessful negotiations between both parties.
TERMS OF AGREEMENT
1. That the Base Pay on the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS) has been increased by 30% across board for the year 2023 at the existing pay point relativity of 1.7 percent.
2. That the effective date for the implementation of the 2023 base pay shall be 1st January, 2023.
