UN EMINEMT PEACE AMBASSADOR LAMENTS ON HOW GHANAIAN YOUTH INSULT ELDERS AND LEADERS IN THE COUNTRY

The UN Eminent Peace Ambassador, Dr. Sam Owusu, Worried about the growing trend of youth in the country under the guise of politics, verbally abusing the elderly.

“It is not fine that the youth who lack experience go on air and insult their elders. I have been particularly calm because I know who I am and Ghanaians also know who I am . I am a self respected person out of politics and you can attest to that but when these small small boys hide under the freedom of speech and politics to insult their elders I get worried “ he lamented.

Ambassador Dr. Sam Owusu said the elders and leaders have wealth of experience the youngest lacks and instead of them to submit themselves and being taught lessons of life, they prefer running down the elders.

Commenting on how National Party Executives of the Political Parties granting media interviews and raining insult on their elders.

“Their comments when always on the media, both TV and radio, are always uncultured. Also students speaking against elders especially the President of the Country is so bad but sad our leaders can’t see”
. He said

In his last statement “ we must take care and formulate and implement policies and guidelines that would regulate opinions shared on media platforms”. He stressed out.
