All private school and In-service teachersin the country who are unprofessional are expected to pay an amount of GH₵ 200 to be given an NTC provisional license which will last for a maximum of 3 years.

The NTC provisional license according to the Executive Director of GNACOPS will give unprofessional private school and in-service teachers the opportunity to upgrade themselves within the 3 year period and sit for the Ghana teacher licensure examination (GTLE) to be professionals.
“The NTC has agreed to give a 3-year provisional license to all private school and in-service teachers who are not professionals for them to within the three year grace period upgrade themselves and sit for the teacher licensure examination”, he told Georgeweb.org in an exclusive interview.
Mr Gyetuah furthered that GNACOPS is compiling all the necessary data through the GNACOPS volunteer Service Scheme to the NTC for a certificate to be given to the license students and unprofessional teachers.
