The latest update concerning 2024 GES recruitment of trained teachers from the various accredited colleges of education and other universities has revealed that the Ghana Education Service is waiting for a clearance from the financial ministry to be able to proceed with the recruitment.

A group of trained teachers in Ghana who have successfully completed their national service requirements and passed the Ghana Teacher Licensure Exams are eagerly awaiting their official placements as teachers.
Despite reassurances from the Director General of the Ghana Education Service (GES) regarding their imminent postings, these dedicated educators have taken action by submitting a petition urging the GES and Ministry of Education to expedite the recruitment process.
Recent updates have revealed that the recruitment of these qualified teachers is currently on hold pending financial clearances from the Ministry of Finance. Dr. Eric Nkansah, in a statement made on Peace FM’s mid-day
He explained that the Finance Ministry is in the process of granting the necessary financial clearance to the GES.
This clearance will enable the recruitment of both teaching and non-teaching staff.
During a meeting with headteachers in the Eastern region, Dr. Eric Nkansah reiterated his commitment to securing the financial clearance needed for teacher recruitment.
Despite the delays caused by financial considerations, there is a sense of hope among the trained teachers that they will soon receive their permanent postings and embark on their careers in education.
