GES reveals when 2024 WASSCE will begin
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has revealed the date for 2024 (WASSCE) West African Senior School Certificate Examination for all final year students in both public and private Senior High Schools including TVET school candidates.
According to the management, the writing of the 2024 WASSCE is scheduled to commence from July 1, 2024 to August 31, 2024.
The GES together with other stakeholders are working closely to ensure that the bringing back of the exams to the usual MAY /JUNE system becomes a reality without any set backs aim the disruption of the academic calendar for the past 3 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In related development, the Ministry of Education has assured the general public that the standard of the 2024 WASSCE including the BECE will not be compromised.
“We have made monumental progress, and over the past few years, WAEC has instituted several measures to curb exam malpractices during the BECE and WASSCE test administration,” the Ministry stated in a statement.
MoE wishes to assure our students, parents, guardians, and the general public that the quality of education and examinations at all levels, including the WASSCE, was not and will not be compromised,”
GES and WAEC reveals a schedule date for 2024 BECE
Information received has revealed that the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for the year 2024 is set to begin from July 8th to July 12th.
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service (GES) in the announcement emphasizes the importance for teachers, students, and parents to adequately prepare for the exams within the stipulated timeframe.
