The management of Ghana Education Service (GES) has postponed the 8-days JHS teachers common core programme workshop which was said to commence from Monday, 4th January 2021.
The latest development was disclosed to the various Regional Directorate nationwide from the office of the GES headquarters of which the main reason for the postponement are yet to be uncovered.
Information reaching the front desk of Honestynewsgh suggest that the possible causes for the development may include,
- A better structure for the payment of allowances and T&T for all participants.
- The absence of in- service JHS teachers and newly posted JHS trained teachers who subscribed to the UCC 3-semester program and are all still on their various campuses because their calendar conflicts with the GES and NaCCA common core programme workshop.
Again, during the trainer of trainers workshop, there were a lot of irregularities which resulted in boycotting of the program in some centers such as Ashanti, Bono, Bono East, Ahafo and Northern region.
The Management of has taken responsibility to ensure that such irregularities will not repeat itself.

However, a rescheduled date is yet to be decided by the management, which is expected to be announced soon.
