Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa popularly known as Afia Schwarzenegger who claimed to be the daughter of the formal president John Dramani Mahama, got a lot of Ghanaians talking following her endorsement of His Excellency Nana Akuffo-Addo on Sunday, August 2, 2020.
Until then, Afia was known to be a full party member of the NDC and had always campaign for the return of the NDC, coming December 7 general elections.
Speaking in an interview on okay FM prior to her ample announcement, Afia said ” I am sure NPP members are in shock, I am not after the influence of ‘weed’. I prayed about my decision and this is what my God wants me to say. My account hasn’t been hacked, we will put our emotions aside and move Ghana forward”.
” I know a lot of hearts have been broken even mine is broken. I can’t understand why i am doing this but it is the fact, I only spoke the truth. If it was my personal gain, I would have campaign for JM but this is for the future of Ghanaians” She added.
Adding that, ” I want to tell Ghanaians to stop voting for party colours, we should vote for policies. Most of our leaders are found of abandoning projects started by the previous administration. We should just allow Nana Addo to complete his projects”.
” My children have benefited from the fee SHS policy, why can’t we allow other parents to do same. I will personally benefit if JM comes into office but I am now concerned about the future of the children in the country”, Afia declared.
