Proposing Of Salary Increment By Teacher Unions For Teachers

WHY ARE TEACHER UNIONS NOT PROPOSING SALARY INCREMENT FOR TEACHERS

The Teacher Unions are silent on salary increment, they should come out and say something, though it’s all public sector workers issue.

The Teacher Unions should take a stand on this issue for teachers. It is not only legacy arrears that they can speak on. Yearly Salary increment or special salary increment package for teachers should be proposed.

There is a rumour that budget by government for the next quarter starting in April will make arrangements for salary increment but that is a rumour.

Teacher Unions should start lobbying and agitating for salary increment now and if government hasn’t made plans for increment the agitations will trigger that increment.

We pay dues so they should speak on our behalf.  Some time ago last year NAGRAT proposed 25% increase, after that we haven’t heard anything again whether they are still pushing for that proposal.
