The management of the Coalition of Concerned Teachers, Ghana (CCT) has officially released a statement notifying the appropriate authorities of their intention to lay down tools if their cost of living allowance is not paid.
According to the release statement signed by the Communications Director of the union, Adokwei Ayikwei -Awulley, the members of the union are going to lay down their tools if they do not receive their COLA by 30th of June 2022.
“Inflation is hovering around 24% and the incessant increase in fuel prices has brought untold hardship on Public Sector Workers”.
“It has thus become a reality and a necessity to cushion Public Sector Workers with a COLA of 20% by government”.
