The management of University of Education, Winneba via a statement sighted by Honestynewsgh on Facebook wishes to communicate to all fresh and continuing students, staff and the entire university community that first semester of the 2021/2022 academic year lectures is set to begin.
According to the management, serious academic activities (lectures) will begin on Thursday, 3rd March, 2022.
Prior to this latest development, the University of Education Winneba a Chapter of the University Teacher’s Association of Ghana ( UTAG) had rejected the decision by the National Executive Committee (NEC) through voting.
According to the branch president, Dr Pascal Kpodo, his members took the decision as a result of government’s track record pending such agreement.
Dr Pascal emphasised that the reason for the rejection has nothing to do with UTAG NEC, rather it has to do with the way the government has been treating their agreement of understanding over the period.
