Payment of the Salary Arrears of teachers in the Ghana Education Service is still on the neck of government after continues agitations by teacher unions for government to clear all salary arrears of teachers.
However, report reaching the front desk of Honestynewgh.com communicates that the Government of Ghana after extensive deliberations and many pleads from teachers in Ghana has begun payment of arrears owed to teachers. The report insist that teachers who were upgraded somewhere in 2018/2019 have partly received their arrears.

According to the information, the arrears received by the teachers covers for only three (March 2021, April 2021, and May 2021) in addition to June salary.
In last year 2020 when NAPO was then the minister of education, teachers were required to as a matter of Urgency, submit their forms for validation through the appropriate channels of which they did, but not all were served as promised by the minister.

Teachers are therefore calling on the leadership of the various teacher unions to abhor the dragging of their feet and press harder.
