A press statement from the management of Ghana Education Service signed by the Deputy Director General, Dr. Kwabena Bempa Atandoh wishes to remind all Persons in the service of the 2022 academic calendar and contact hours for all basic schools (KG, Primary and JHS).
The management in the release has also thanked all staff for their unflinching support in implementing education policies.
Below is the full picture of the calendar for the 2022 academic year.
First Term: 18th January, 2022 to 7th March, 2022
Second Term: 10th Mar, 2022 to 11th to 11th August, 2022.
Third Term : 13th September, 2022 to 15th December, 2022
Contact Hours
7:00am to 2:00pm
7:30am to 2:30pm
8:00am to 3:00pm
According to GES, tha above suggested contact hours are dependent on the peculiar circumstances of the community.
“By this letter, Regjonal Directors of Education all to communicate to all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Directors of education to ensure that Heads of Basic Schools take note and implement accordingly”, the release stated.
