Issuance Of License To Teachers begins in the Greater Accra region today – GES Advices All Teachers To Complete The Online Registration As Soon As Possible. Check out details

The National Teaching Council (NTC) will commence the issuance of license to public teachers  in the Greater Accra region today, 12th May 2021.

However, the management of Ghana Education Service (GES) in the Ga North Municipal officially wishes to Inform all Headteachers in the public schools  that officials from the National Teaching Council (NTC) will be in the  municipality on Friday, 21st May, 2021 for the issuance of Teacher License to all professional teachers.

GES Re-request For Vital Information On Teachers In Various Districts To Aid The Processing For The Licensing And Registration Of Qualified Teachers

This forms part of the registration and licensing process of professional teachers in Ghana.

However, all professional teachers are
advised to complete the online registration as soon as possible so that their data to be captured by NTC for the issuance of the license.

Note: Dates for the other regions and districts are yet to be released.

According to the release on 14th April, 2021,  the licensing and registration exercise will commence in May 2021.

It is to be noted that all teachers who were employed after 31 August 2018 are required to pass the Ghana Teachers Licensure Examination to merit the license and registration number. Thus, their provisional license shall be replaced with a full license during the exercise.

It is further to be noted that all qualified teachers who fail to avail themselves for this licensing and registration exercise shall lose their right to practice as teachers in Ghana in accordance with section 64 (1) of the Education Regulatory Bodies Act, 2020, Act 1023.
