Honourable Ken Ofori-Atta’s Databank has asked all Tertiary Institutions to schedule a new fees payment deadline for students who have account with the bank.
Databank in a letter written by the bank to institutions where students are affected, said the country is facing macroeconomic challenges which is making it difficult for them to pay their customers who have issued withdrawal request for their monies.
The management of the bank is hereby asking these institutions to cooperative with them as they’re going on liquidators to make some available funds settle their cherished customers.
The bank hinted that the current challenge is as a result of government’s domestic dept exchange programme.
