Basic Schools to Reopen on 3rd October according to sources.
The Ghana Education Service is yet to release the reopening date for the first term of 2023/2024 academic year officially.
However, it has been disclosed that the reopening date for basic schools from KG to JHS is on 3rd October, 2023. This implies that all Basic School students will resume back to school on 3rd October to commence the academic year.

All Basic Schools in Ghana from KG to JHS will vacate on Thursday 14th September 2023.
- The 2023 academic year started on 9th January 2023 and ended on 31st March 2023. This translated into 12 weeks of teaching and learning.
- The second term started on 10th April and ended on 28th June 2023. This is also a 12-week contact term.
- The third term commenced on 27th July and ends on 14th September 2023 which is a 12-week term just like the previous ones.
