2021/2022 Inter-Regional Transfer & Release- GES has begun the issuance of release letters to applicants

Honestynewsgh after engagement with some Human Resource Officers at the Regional Education Directorates can confirm that the Ghana Education Service (GES) has begun the issuance of release transfer letters to applicants of the 2021 /2022 inter regional reposting.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) opened the transfer and release window to all teachers who have served for a particular number of years and to those whom for some genuine reasons such as illness and want to leave to apply in order to get transferred.

Per the 2021 GES inter -regional reposting guidelines, all applicants were supposed to wait patiently for a feedback from the various regional education directorates upon the approval of the Director General, Prof. Opoku Amankwah.

Approval had been given by the DG from the Headquarters, Accra to enable all regional directors to issue release letters to the applicants.

Enquiries made by Honestynewgh has revealed that some regional education directorates have started the issuance of the release letters to the applicants whiles others are yet to set things in motion.

In order not to raise high pressure on Headteachers and other staff members in their school, some regional education directorates have decided to play the waiting game to the time schools are about to vacate before they issue the release letters to the applicants. This is as a result of the bad acts of some teachers who decide to leave just after receiving their release letters.

Henceforth, applicants are advised to visit or contact their regional education directorates to check whether their reposting letters are ready for collection.
