The management of Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially declared 5th October, 2022 as holiday for some schools in the Upper East Region.
According to the official statement signed by the Mr. Alhassan Alidu Junior, the Regional Director, the schools in the Tamale Metro, Sagnarigu Municipal, Savelugu Municipal, Tolon District, Nanton and Kumbungu District will be closed tomorrow on the said date.
From the statement, this initiative is to enable the affected teachers to attend the Ghana Teacher Prize ceremony.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place at UDS Multipurpose Building, Dungu Campus at exactly 9:00am.
