NEWS IN: GES Launches Hotlines For Teachers To Call In case of Any Suspicion of Covid

As part of the measures laid down for making Schools safe for both teaching and non-teaching staffs, the Ghana Education Service has lunched an emergency service unit to cater for any suspected emergency cases related to the Covid -19 Pandemic.

According to the laid down guidelines, the team responsible for managing the outbreak or teachers can call 112 or 311 on all networks or link up with the local district health authorities for immediate prescribed medical attention.

However, Dr Opoku Amankwah, the Director general of GES, in an interview on Peace FM morning show stated that, the service is committed to the health and safety of all staffs including the learners hence the need to lay this measure in place to prevent any outbreak as Schools resume.

“All parents must see to it that their wards wear their nose mask to school every morning”, he added.
