According to the public relations officer (PRO) to the district Mr Kwabena Aseidu confirmed the news to TellGhana News Portal, Northern Regional correspondent Mohammed Ibn Nanzari Charisma on Monday 1st February, 2021 that his boss Mr. Ofori Larbi was on a familiarization tour with teachers in the municipality where he got the attack at around 12:30Pm.

“ My boss has just been posted and assumed office and as a good leader, you need to familiarize with the people that you are going to work with. So, we drew a time table for him to tour the municipality to visit teachers and to fraternize. We were wining up on that tour where he suffered the attack but I can comfirmed to you that he is doing quite well. The recovery rate is very great and we believe that in the next few weeks he should get back fully. So it’s true that something like that happened. The situation is under control by the grace of God “ he said.

According to Mr. Kwabena, the district has been informed at the condition of the situation and as it is now, he can’t predict anything but has to hold forth while he is away to other things which they can do in their capacity and leave the others that require the director himself to adhere to.

The regional director has been informed and if there’s anything to do at all we will receive directions from the district.” He added.

As at the time speaking to our correspondent, Mohammed, on Monday 1st February, Mr Ofori had been moved from the emergency centre to the recovery ward at the Komfour Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

“Though the use of voice is not active now but he’s conscious now, he’s fully aware of his situation and he’s responding to treatment” Mr Kwabena used the opportunity to call on all well wishes to bare with his boss and that he believes that in the next few weeks Mr. Ofori Larbi will recover fully and come back to office and continue his work.
